Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer

£45,000 - £50,000 + Company Van + Overtime + Call Out Allowance + Pension

Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work across a high-quality portfolio of commercial buildings?

We are recruiting for a well-established building services maintenance provider with an excellent reputation for delivering first-class engineering services across London and the M25. With a strong client base, low staff turnover and a supportive team environment, this is an opportunity to join a business where engineers are genuinely valued.

The Role

As a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of predominantly commercial properties.

This is far more than a testing role. We are looking for a practical engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and delivering a high standard of service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive electrical maintenance
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
  • Small electrical installations and repairs
  • Testing and inspection work when required
  • Identifying and reporting defects across M&E systems
  • Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts
  • Supporting wider building services maintenance activities
  • Working independently across multiple sites throughout London and the surrounding areas

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection (or equivalent)
  • Commercial building maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Customer-focused approach and excellent communication skills

Desirable

Experience working on:

  • AHUs
  • FCUs
  • HVAC systems
  • Three-phase electrical systems
  • Plant room equipment
  • General M&E building services systems
