Job Description Why This Role Matters As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and continuous operation of the Sewage Treatment Plant's electrical assets. Your expertise will help maximize equipment availability, minimize downtime, and support sustainable plant operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. What You'll Drive Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, and commission plant electrical assets. Maintain MCCs, switchgears, transformers, VFDs, soft starters, UPS systems, generators, motors, and control panels. Coordinate electrical isolation, LOTO, PTW, and shutdown activities to ensure safe maintenance execution. Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance. Monitor asset condition and support predictive maintenance initiatives. Collaborate with Operations, Mechanical, and Instrumentation teams to optimize plant performance. Manage contractors and ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and to the required quality standards. Maintain CMMS records, asset history, spare parts inventory, and maintenance documentation. Ensure compliance with client requirements, OEM recommendations, IEC standards, and BESIX HSE procedures. Qualifications You're a Great Fit If You Have Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance within Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Treatment Plants (WTP), utilities, or industrial facilities. Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, motor control systems, and industrial maintenance practices. Familiarity with IEC standards and electrical safety regulations. Skills & Competencies Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities. Experience with MCCs, switchgears, transformers, VFDs, soft starters, generators, motors, and UPS systems. Knowledge of PLC and SCADA interfaces. Experience in preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams. Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, Infor, or equivalent. Strong understanding of LOTO, PTW, risk assessments, and safe work practices. Excellent communication, planning, and contractor management skills.
