Howdens is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This opportunity has arisen following an internal promotion. In this role, you’ll be responsible for proactive and preventative maintenance across our manufacturing equipment, services, and utilities, while also supporting improvement projects. You’ll also play a key role in providing reactive maintenance support when needed.
The ideal candidate could have either completed an engineering apprenticeship or have relevant engineering qualifications with proven manufacturing or industrial experience. Additionally, a good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment.
Pay rate: £53,827.28 per annum (Inclusive of Basic rate, shift & disturbance allowance)

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:

• Experienced in maintaining multi-axis (CNC) manufacturing machinery
• Extraction plants
• Experience in wood working manufacturing plant – desirable
• PUWER experience would be desirable
• Knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLC, PLC, Pilz Safety PLC, and PLC would be desirable
• Fault finding, root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Experience of computerised maintenance management systems
• NVQ Level 3 essential
