Description Position Summary Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineer for vertical infrastructure projects in the Federal and state & local government markets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Designing low- and medium-voltage power systems, Designing lighting and associated control systems Designing fire alarm and mass notification systems Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction Performing periodic construction site visits Mentoring less experienced staff Assisting with business development activities Some travel is required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical emphasis from an accredited college or university. At least four years of relevant experience PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states Experience with electrical design of buildings including low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting and controls, fire alarm and mass notification systems. Experience with 3D building modeling (Revit preferred); experience with lighting design software (AGI32 preferred), power design software (SKM Power Tools and/or EasyPower preferred). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs. Ability to prepare construction documents. Experience coordinating engineering documentation. Knowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction. Ideal candidate has performed federal DOD or National Guard services work We’re an equal opportunity employer.
