Description Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Engineer, Sr to oversees and leads the design of electrical control systems for safe, effective, and efficient operation of Forgent products and processes while meeting and exceeding company quality and production standards and customer documentation and delivery requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the design and development of electrical control systems, ensuring alignment with engineering standards, customer requirements, and applicable codes while meeting project schedules and budgets. Review and interpret customer specifications and project documents, providing clear guidance to engineering and design teams. Utilize design software and tools to develop and oversee electrical design packages. Improve design processes by implementing standardized practices, tools, and systems to enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency. Evaluate and select electrical and electronic components for use in control systems and related assemblies. Provide technical troubleshooting and support for internal teams, customers, and field service personnel. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design, manufacturing, and quality issues, driving continuous improvement in processes and methods. Create training materials, documentation, and procedures to support the development of engineering teams. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new product advancements to support innovation and product development. Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams. Provide on-site technical and customer support as needed, with minimal travel. Adhere to all company safety, quality, and housekeeping policies. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline Ability to design and lead electrical projects based on functional requirements and industry standards 10+ years of engineering experience, including leadership or advanced technical responsibilities Experience supporting product assembly, manufacturing, and testing processes Ability to coordinate and manage engineering tasks for customer projects Experience developing quotes or providing technical input for project proposals Proficiency with electrical design software and engineering tools Ability to use electrical test equipment relevant to power or control systems Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, customers, and suppliers Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Office Suite) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred: Background in electrical power systems, control systems, or related engineering fields Ability to collaborate effectively across electrical, mechanical, and software engineering functions Experience with CAD/PDM tools or similar design environments Experience in industries such as renewable energy, energy storage, data centers, or emerging power technologies Skills and Competencies: Advanced Electrical Engineering Expertise Technical Leadership Problem-Solving & Root Cause Analysis Cross-Functional Collaboration Project Management & Prioritization Communication & Technical Writing Continuous Improvement Mindset Innovation & Concept Development Relationship Management Attention to Detail Use of Design Tools and Test Equipment Professionalism & Confidentiality
