ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our water group in Sydney. In a close-knit and growing local office in Sydney, you will be part of the much larger, national ground engineering team working with experienced team members and clients, your role would have you involved in exciting and diverse projects in a range of water infrastructure projects.

DAY TO DAY TASKS WOULD INVOLVE:

• Use knowledge of general concepts of electrical engineering elements through investigation and analysis, to support electrical engineering projects.
• Perform basic calculations to analyze and design electrical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Assist team in preparing electrical designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports, and gather information to support design decisions.
• Assist in basic interpretation and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
• Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer.
• Assist the team in providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
• Perform field work related to construction related activities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE YOU’LL NEED:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BE)
• Between 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position with well-rounded experience in on Water and Waste Water projects.
• Prio consulting skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes is highly regarded
