The primary focus of this position is to develop electrical, instrumentation and control (EIC) engineering for tender preparation, project specific design, specifications for procurement, support client and sub-supplier interactions, prepare and participate in design reviews and support during construction & commissioning in accordance to client specifications, Mining Acts and Australian Standards to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EIC) designs for mining, bulk materials handling, and process plant projects. Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and prepare technical specifications and procurement documentation. Produce, review, and approve discipline-related engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with client requirements, Australian Standards, and industry best practices. Support tender preparation through technical input, cost estimation, supplier evaluations, and proposal development. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Participate in design reviews, audits, risk assessments, and technical workshops throughout the project lifecycle. Provide technical support during procurement, manufacturing, factory acceptance testing, construction, and commissioning activities. Develop commissioning procedures and support site commissioning, troubleshooting, and project handover activities as required. Prepare project documentation, operating manuals, and handover packages to support successful project delivery. Provide ongoing engineering support during installation, commissioning, warranty periods, and after-sales service activities. Contribute to the delivery of safe, innovative, and integrated engineering solutions that meet project objectives, budgets, and schedules. About You: Qualification in electrical engineering with relevant experience preferred Eligible for Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia Eligible for Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) if required Extensive experience in a similar role in Bulk Material Handling, Mining or Process Design Electrical Engineer for several Major Projects desirable Hands on design approach for EIC equipment for machines and conveyors in the mining, bulk materials handling and process design With centuries of expertise, TAKRAF Group leads the way in mining, material handling and minerals processing.
