* POSITION SUMMARY • The Electrical Design Engineer will develop electrical design for standard and special units of the Edge Thermal business unit. He/she will closely follow objectives of quality, environment and costs working in cooperation with manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, procurement, suppliers, mechanical engineering, and product marketing. • The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the release of new products; will work in a cross-functional development group; manage a variety of tasks and activities in a dynamic environment; and solve complex problems where no precedence exists. * RESPONSIBILITIES • Design new computer room air conditioning and Air Handlers (CRAC and CRAH) products. • Collaboration across the disciplines of Mechanical engineering, Thermal engineering, Firmware engineering, as well as production and offering teams. Work with these teams for design reviews, meeting cost metrics, and brainstorming around customer pain points. • Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods to verify design requirements. • Develops solutions to complex problems where little or no precedence exists - the use of ingenuity and creativity is regularly required. • Participate in identification of cost reduction opportunities and in the design and development of cost reduction changes. • Implement product changes to solve field issues, support service department. • Component verification • Create and revise unit wiring schematics and network connection drawings. • Create and review electric panel layouts following relevant codes and standards. • Create and revise wire harnesses. • Work with software team to develop and verify CRAC, CRAH system controls. • Support lab facilities with prototypes and testing. • Assists with creation, reviewing, and systems-entry of new product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings, and sales literature. * QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related degree from an accredited college or university. • 2-4 years of experience. • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment independently and as a member of a dynamic team; offer and receive constructive criticism. • Ability to follow, create, and organize testing and instructional procedures. • Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills. • Fluency in English. * PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS • No special physical requirements. * TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED • 10% Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
