Electrical Engineer / Trainee Electrical Engineer
Location: Worcester
Salary: 28,000 + Bonus
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working available
We’re seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer or Trainee Electrical Engineer to join our specialist Equipment & Machine Build Department. This is a hands-on, diverse role offering opportunities to contribute to the full lifecycle of equipment development - from build and test to service and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and test bespoke equipment to agreed specifications and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and good working practices
  • Conduct maintenance on in-house equipment, including fire alarm and emergency lighting tests
  • Support Service Engineers on site visits (UK and overseas) as required
  • Contribute to the improvement and upgrading of internal equipment and facilities
  • Assist in the design and feedback process for electrical systems
  • Maintain and monitor stock levels for electrical components and consumables
  • Support other departments with tasks, particularly mechanical and maintenance-related, when necessary

Ideal Candidate Profile

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certified
  • Background in industrial equipment or control panel wiring preferred
  • Strong analytical and fault-finding abilities
  • Willing and able to travel for work both in the UK and internationally
  • A proactive, responsible individual who works well under pressure
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications
  • A good team player with clear communication skills
  • Committed to maintaining a clean and safe working environment
