Description

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis to support a project our client is working on. While this is a project-based contract, there is a possibility of a permanent hire for the right candidate.
Salary: $40-$50/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical drawings for HVAC systems on marine vessels, including power distribution, local control panels, and single-line diagrams
  • Produce and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings using CAD software
  • Ensure all designs meet marine standards, customer technical specifications, safety regulations (e.g., SOLAS), and classification society requirements (ABS, Lloyd’s, DNV)
  • Collaborate with project managers, customer technical representatives, and third-party equipment suppliers to support system integration
  • Maintain accurate documentation and drawing records throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during design and implementation phases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • EIT certification or eligibility
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
