Description

OVERVIEW

Red Cartel, part of xReality Group (XRG), is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our on-site development team in Brookvale. You will design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for our immersive XR training products, including our flagship Operator XR platform. This is a hands-on role working closely with hardware, firmware, and product teams to deliver reliable, safe, and innovative solutions.

✅ REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded systems integration
  • Experience with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers)
  • Understanding of relevant Australian electrical standards and safety regulations
  • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Brookvale at least 4 days a week

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience with XR, VR, or other simulation hardware
  • Familiarity with firmware programming (C/C++)
  • Knowledge of power systems, battery management, and charging circuits
  • Experience designing for ruggedised or portable hardware solutions
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical circuits, wiring harnesses, and PCB layouts for XR systems
  • Integrate electrical components with mechanical and software systems
  • Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and fault-finding on electrical assemblies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take designs from concept to production
  • Support field teams in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in deployed systems
