Description

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Drafting/estimating software (e.g., AutoCAD, GroundPlan, Accubid, ConEst, Trimble, Bluebeam).
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, electrical codes (e.g., ANZ, BCA, NEC), and building codes.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with a variety of electrical project types (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
  • Proficiency in CRM softwares (e.g., Aroflo, Simpro, ProCore, Microsoft Project, Primavera).

Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive drawings, plans, and diagrams for electrical installations.
  • Support engineers in planning and arranging electrical systems for substations, switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control units.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software proficiently to produce accurate and clear drawings.
  • Prepare technical documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and assembly instructions calculate material requirements and project costs.
  • Perform workshop activities including the installation of assemblies for protection relays, and indicator instruments.
  • Examine and verify designs and completed products to ensure they adhere to specifications and regulations.
  • Assist in resolving design issues or discrepancies by proposing solutions and adjustments to drawings.
  • Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback, changes in specifications, or improvements in design
  • Setting up, installation, testing, calibration, and repair of electrical equipment and installations while adhering to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and technicians, to achieve project goals.
