Key Responsibilities: Execute a major project that will cover the basics of the engineering lifecycle from requirements capture through detailed design. Learn the basic steps of the Systems Engineering method. Complete projects and tasks within the R&D Engineering project portfolio. Develop and understanding of the Enchanted Rock generators set and microgrids. Understand schematics, wiring diagrams, analyze complex problems to identify root cause and develop innovative solutions under guidance from senior team members. Work across disciplines with mechanical engineers, controls and field personnel as required. Instrumentation, testing, data gathering/analysis, and field support of generator units in the fleet. Communicate with suppliers regarding component specifications and design. Attention to safety and its critical importance in the work environment. Other tasks as identified by senior team members. Requirements Basic (Required) Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, from an ABET recognized program. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Preferred Qualifications: Communicates well with colleagues and customers, effectively and professionally. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute. Strong drive to problem-solve on a daily-basis and proactive brainstorming. Conversion to full-time employment is not guaranteed and will be evaluated based on intern performance, business needs, and open positions at the conclusion of the program. This position will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and will last for the duration of June-August 2026. Interns are required to be eligible to work full-time (40 hours).
