What You’ll Do: The Electrical Engineer intern will assist in SOC and MCU design based products that include but are not limited to: high-speed digital interfaces (LCD, digital Camera, etc), Bluetooth, WiFi, system level integration, analog power systems including SMPS, illumination, user interface, sensors (gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity, hall effect, magnetometer), sensors and motors. The intern will work with the electrical team on existing and upcoming connected pet care products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborates on electrical circuits and systems from concept to product: schematic design & Layout prototype build Assists with sensor identification and evaluation Performs digital and analog hardware verification in the lab and writing test reports Attends project status meetings Will perform additional responsibilities when required Requirements What You’ll Bring: Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; having completed first year Ability to work onsite in our Auburn Hills office, Monday - Friday, 9am -5pm Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions High degree of initiative, self-motivation and ability to motivate others Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues Lab Equipment experience (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering irons, etc) Comfortable around office pets (cats, dogs) Not Required but Nice to Have!
