OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of high and low voltage electrical systems within the Portsmouth University NHS Hospital. This role involves ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, managing maintenance schedules, and leading a team to provide a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • ONC/HND in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing Hard FM Services.
  • Strong electrical background with 18th Edition BS7671 certification.
  • Experience as Authorised Person for HV and LV systems.
  • Knowledge of HTM, HBN, and relevant British Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Support the provision of 24-hour maintenance services.
  • Ensure adherence to Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and statutory legislation.
  • Act as Authorised Person for assigned electrical systems.
  • Oversee daily management of engineering systems, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Provide technical support for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance records and ensure prompt follow-up actions.
  • Manage external subcontractors and ensure competency checks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
