Title: Electrical Engineering Manager, Food Service Equipment Reports to: Director, Research and Development Location: Lodi, NJ (on-site) About the Position: CFS Brands is hiring a Food Service Equipment Engineering Manager to play a key role in the full product development lifecycle of commercial-grade equipment, from concept and design through validation, production, and continuous improvement. This role combines hands-on testing, electromechanical troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll partner closely with engineering, sourcing, marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure products meet real-world performance, reliability, and durability requirements.  Essential Job Functions:   • Support electrical and electromechanical design throughout the full product development    lifecycle, including concept, prototyping, validation, and production release.   • Work with electromechanical components (motors, solenoids, sensors, etc.) across multiple product lines.   • Lead product durability, performance testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.   • Perform hands-on testing and validation in the Lodi, NJ workshop and provide technical guidance to in-house technicians.   • Collaborate with overseas manufacturing partners to support design for manufacturability, quality standards, and production efficiency.   • Conduct competitive benchmarking and translate findings into actionable design and performance improvements.   • Create and maintain CAD models, schematics, and technical documentation using SolidWorks   • Provide cross-disciplinary troubleshooting support, including mechanical-focused issues when required.   • Occasional travel (2–3 trips/year) for supplier visits, manufacturing support, and team collaboration.    Education/Experience/Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * 5–10 years of experience in engineering for commercial food service equipment or related products. * Knowledge of UL, NSF, CE, and other safety/sanitation standards. * Proficiency with SolidWorks and engineering documentation tools. * Experience managing testing, certification, and product lifecycle activities. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost-reduction strategies.
