Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Manager to join the Mophie engineering team. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and optimization of electronic systems and components for our cutting-edge power solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, and a passion for innovation. The role will be part of a global team located in Salt Lake City, Utah, Irvine, California and Shenzhen China, and will involve collaboration with partners and colleagues outside normal working hours.
Key Responsibilities

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role or equivalent leadership experience
  • Proven experience in designing and developing consumer electronics with a strong emphasis on designing to cost and quality targets, particularly in power management systems
  • Strong understanding of PCB design, embedded systems, and analog/digital circuit design
  • Experience working with overseas contract development partners and manufacturers

SKILLS:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using CAD software for circuit design (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD).
  • Knowledge of product certification processes (CE, FCC, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including with non-native English speakers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with power electronics, battery management systems, or wireless charging technologies.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
