Job Description Overview AtkinsRéalis Transmission, Distribution and Renewables division has an exciting full-time career opportunity for experienced Electrical Engineering Specialists in the field of Transmission and Distribution. The Electrical Engineering specialist is required to work within a multi-discipline team to Design and Engineer efficient and reliable Electrical substation and distribution network. Your role Develop Single Line Diagram for Distribution and Transmission Substations Develop and prepare plot plans and elevation drawings for Outdoor and Indoor substation equipment including underground cable routing conduit plan, cable tray and duct bank design and drawings for substation projects Develop and prepare Switchgear room and Control room layout drawings for the substation projects. Prepare Auxiliary AC and DC system equipment sizing calculations and its Single Line Diagram Prepare electrical equipment performance specifications and Bills of material for MV and HV Substations Work closely with peers and multi-discipline project team members to ensure accurate delivery and thorough electrical design that will meet industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practices Maintain complete project documentation with respect to engineering studies and calculations, all design packages Maintain good working relationships with internal groups that support projects such as other Engineering disciplines, Drafting, Procurement, Construction and Project Management etc. About you Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized University. A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience (post-graduation) in transmission and distribution substation design. P.Eng. License preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, ProjectWise, ETAP and ASPEN are assets. Good knowledge of North American codes and standards such as IEEE, ANSI and utility Standards like Toronto Hydro and Hydro One Good written and verbal communication skills. Additional information Expected compensation for this role is between $80,700 - $111,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
