Electrical Engineering Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test various electrical equipment used on electric transit vehicles, rail operation and wind generation based on customer specification, electrical engineering principles and international standards
  • Supervise electrical testing of First Article Units according to general instructions and established standards
  • Prepares work instructions based on the established engineering principles
  • Creates process documentations such as Electronic Inspection and Test Reports (EITR) based on manufacturer’s technical references and industry standards
  • Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics under the direction of the Engineering Manager
  • Prepare part numbers, specifications, and technical reports as required in the operation of Sherwood Electromotion Inc.
  • Review operational and experimental data and create recommendation and procedures
  • Budget/costing for various electrical equipment repairs and manufacturing process
  • Prepare and initial approval of test certificates under the supervision of the Engineering Manager
  • Assist other departments with engineering inputs
  • Other duties as assigned
