Description
We are looking for an Electrical Estimator to support commercial electrical construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates and coordinating preconstruction activities. This role focuses on reviewing project plans, developing bid proposals, and working closely with leadership and field teams to ensure projects are properly scoped and priced. The position plays a key role in helping the company pursue and win new projects while maintaining strong cost control and planning. This role also offers the opportunity to transition into project management over time for candidates interested in expanding their responsibilities. Responsibilities • Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare electrical cost estimates • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractors • Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals for commercial construction projects • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and material availability • Support project planning and assist with building project schedules during preconstruction • Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records • Work with leadership and field teams to clarify project scope and resolve discrepancies in plans • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and change order preparation once projects are awarded • 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating or electrical construction • Experience reviewing electrical plans, specifications, and bid packages • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation practices • Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates • Experience coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams • Strong organizational and communication skills • Experience using estimating software or construction management tools preferred • Background in electrical construction as an estimator, foreman, or project manager Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
