JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates. This role requires proficiency in various estimating software and tools, as well as exceptional negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or related fields, with a strong understanding of construction processes.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and components is preferred.
  • Proficient in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cost control measures and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
  • Experience working on construction sites is an advantage, along with a background in construction management or project management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions based on findings.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create comprehensive bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to assess project requirements and constraints.
  • Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, pricing strategies, and best practices in construction estimating.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts and ensure compliance with NEC standards.
  • Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions from clients or stakeholders regarding estimates.
