REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in electrical estimating with a minimum 2-5 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Proficient in estimating software and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure projects are cost-effective and meet client expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed estimates.
• Prepare and submit quotations and tenders in a timely manner.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Evaluate labour, materials, and time requirements.
• Participate in project handovers to ensure a smooth transition from tender to delivery.
• Maintain and update a database of historical costs and supplier rates.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
