  • Proficiency in Accubid or ConEst estimating software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, engineering principles, and construction management practices.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Field/construction site experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator with a strong background in medium voltage electrical projects. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate, timely estimates; analyzing drawings and specifications; and collaborating with purchasing and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, RFPs, and other project documents.
  • Generate accurate take-offs, bills of material, and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project timelines and goals.
  • Support the bidding process by developing proposals and presenting estimates.
  • Stay current on industry trends, materials, codes, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to provide accurate project data.
  • Ensure clear, well-documented, and organized estimating records.
  • Participate in feasibility studies and provide value-engineering input when needed.
