Job Summary: The Electrical Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects. This role analyzes project plans, materials, labor, and risks to support profitable bids and successful project execution. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, building plans, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Develop accurate cost estimates based on materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing. Identify risks, potential delays, and material waste to recommend cost-saving strategies and construction efficiencies. Prepare detailed project takeoffs and production schedules for design-build and bid projects. Review and negotiate supplier pricing and maintain accurate cost databases. Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as needed to verify scope. Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with execution plans. Maintain organized bid documentation and provide timely quote updates. Requirements Qualifications 3–5 years of electrical construction experience, or a 4-year engineering degree, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or licensed journeyman experience. Strong understanding of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to pass a post-offer background check and MVR check.
