Job Description The Electrical Field Supervisor is a working leadership role. You will manage high-level residential installations and repairs while providing technical oversight, field training, and quality control for our electrical team. This role requires a "lead by example" approach, ensuring all work exceeds National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and that our "customer-first" philosophy is upheld on every job site. Key Responsibilities and Leadership Duties Technical Leadership: Act as the "Senior Expert" for complex troubleshooting, panel upgrades, and high-stakes residential repairs that require advanced diagnostic skills. Field Training & Mentorship: Ride along with junior technicians and apprentices to provide hands-on training, ensuring the "MVP Standard" of workmanship is consistent across the fleet. Quality Assurance: Conduct random job site inspections to ensure strict adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA safety standards, and local building codes. Operational Oversight: Assist in the coordination of large projects, secure necessary permits, and manage the relationship with local inspectors to ensure 100% compliance. Customer Advocacy: Step in to assist with high-level customer consultations, explaining complex electrical needs and repair options in a professional, educational manner. Performance Metrics: Work with management to monitor team efficiency, callback rates, and material waste, providing technical solutions to improve department profitability. Documentation & Tech: Ensure all team members are accurately utilizing company technology (ServiceTitan) for work orders, invoices, and material logs. Qualifications Required Qualifications Licensure: Current Master or Journeyman Electrician License valid in Kansas and Missouri is required. Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in a lead tech, foreman, or supervisory capacity within the residential sector. Technical Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of 120/240V systems, grounding, bonding, and NEC requirements. Communication: Exceptional ability to coach team members and communicate value to homeowners. Mobility: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record (MVR). Physical Stamina: Ability to lead in the field, including maneuvering in tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces) and lifting up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Experience building or scaling a residential electrical department. Proficiency with EV charger infrastructure and standby generator installations. Familiarity with smart home integration and low-voltage systems.
