Downer Energy work with some of New Zealand’s largest asset owners and energy providers including Powerco. We are currently looking for an experienced Electrician/Electrical Fitter who will be working in the Bay of Plenty region.
NGA PŪKENGA MATUA | IMPORTANT SKILLS
It is essential that you are an experienced Electrician or equivalent with knowledge of the power industry and can offer:
- Relevant Electrical registration and practising licence
- Current driver’s licence (applicable classes)
- Both underground and overhead construction skills preferred
- Substation equipment knowledge and maintenance skills
- Sound knowledge of electrical test equipment, systems and procedures
- Electricity Distribution Industry related experience
Sound verbal and written communication skillsPhysical stamina to carry out manual work, often in trying conditions
Responsibilities:
We have an exciting opportunity to grow your career as an Electrician/electrical fitter within our team based in Tauranga. You will be responsible for the Installation and technical maintenance of electrical equipment including Substations, Transformers, Switchgear, Regulators, and other associated network equipment.
You will have to work with key internal staff to understand customer’s requirements and determine relevant materials, equipment and labour to be used and estimated cost.
