O & H Vehicle Conversions is the largest and fastest growing emergency vehicle manufacturer in the UK, specialising in the conversion of Ambulances and Fire Appliances. Employing over 150 people, we are revolutionising our industry and making a real difference to our frontline key workers.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for quality inspection of completed products, Quality Assurance of components and investigations into faults & failures while maintaining the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental aspects of the business, and driving Improvements to the whole business

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with electrics/ wiring.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Understanding technical drawings and ability to follow written assembly instructions.
  • Experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of electrics Live, Neutral, Earth etc.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Product knowledge of commercial vehicle conversions
  • Experience working with electrical systems on Vehicles conversions.
  • Experience and understanding of manufactured mechanically engineered components.
  • Experience with reading engineering drawings & understanding the information within.
    The hours for this role are 7.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday. This is based on 38 hours per week.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fitting electrical Looms to Vehicles.
  • Assembly of Electrical parts/ wiring harnesses to manufacture sub assembly components following instructions and drawings.
  • Installation of components to vehicles this includes “Plug and play” and/or Hard wired electrical systems.
  • Sign off build tasks on completion/ complete paperwork.
  • Ability to manufacture parts or complete installations within a set time frame
