Your Impact As Electrical Foreman, you’ll supervise and coordinate daily electrical work on data center projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance while driving productivity and quality. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities * Supervise and direct daily activities of journeyman electricians and apprentices. * Execute electrical tasks according to project schedules, plans, and specifications. * Coordinate with the Superintendent, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless progress and resolve field conflicts. * Monitor work to confirm quality standards, code compliance, and adherence to safety procedures. * Train, mentor, and support team members to build skills and maintain high performance. * Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and controls. * Conduct daily inspections of work areas to identify hazards, verify safety practices, and confirm workmanship quality. * Troubleshoot and assist with diagnosing electrical issues and implementing solutions. * Enforce compliance with company policies, OSHA, and NFPA 70E safety standards. * Maintain accurate daily records of labor hours, work completed, material usage, and issues encountered. * Report progress, challenges, and resource needs to the Superintendent. * Respond promptly to urgent electrical issues, including outages and equipment failures, to minimize downtime. Qualifications * Minimum of 6 years of experience as a journeyman electrician, with at least 1 year in a foreman or lead role, preferably in a data center or similar commercial/industrial environment. * Strong leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to motivate and direct crews effectively. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. * Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability. * Excellent knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to manage workflow independently while supporting broader project goals. * Valid journeyman electrician license (Preferred). * Additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E) are a plus. * Valid driver’s license. Physical Demands and Work Environment Employees must be able to hear, speak, and communicate effectively. Work occurs in data center environments with potential exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and varying temperatures. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required. Physical requirements include bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead. Must lift at least 50 lbs, raise arms above shoulder level, and perform overhead work for extended periods. The ability to climb and carry ladders (up to 12 ft), navigate stairways, and work at heights up to 90 ft using ladders, scaffolds, or lifts is essential. Employees must access restricted areas (e.g., switchgear rooms, vaults, tunnels, crawl spaces) and wear full PPE. Good vision and hearing (normal or corrected) and accurate color identification are required. Some projects may lack food facilities, so bringing meals and snacks is necessary.
