Action Electrical is currently seeking a commercial Electrical Foreman/Supervisor. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks each day and must be able to perform a full range of electrical assignments.
Job Requirements and Tasks:
· Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification required.
· Fall Arrest and Elevated Work Platform tickets are required.
· Valid class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required.
· Knowledge of the principles of electricity, circuitry and power distribution systems.
· Mechanically inclined.
· Ability to work/communicate in a team setting.
· Ensure adherence to all applicable building and electrical codes.
· Design electrical systems and circuits.
· Carry out inspections on all project electrical equipment.
· Identify staff training needs.
· Maintain up to date and accurate As-Built record drawings.
· Supervision of site electrical staff and coordinate daily activities of specific project electrical installations.
·Forecast weekly-monthly manpower requirements.
· Forecast weekly-monthly material requirements.
· Experience with electrical distribution upgrade projects is an asset.
· Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling and reaching.
· Ability to conduct work in confined spaces, on ladders and/or aerial platforms and comfortable working from heights.
· Strong organizational and planning skills.
· High attention to detail and take pride in workmanship.
· Previous experience in an Electrical Foreman role. Experience in running projects with 5 or more electricians on site.
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in the electrical industry.
· In town work – usually Monday to Friday shifts (incentives for out-of-town work)
