Job Description What You'll drive This role ensures electrical maintenance work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. By supervising technicians, coordinating maintenance activities, enforcing safety compliance, and resolving electrical faults, the role helps reduce downtime, protect equipment, and maintain reliable plant operations while supporting team performance and continuous improvement. You'll be a great fit if you have Supervise and allocate daily electrical maintenance tasks to technicians, ensuring work is executed safely and efficiently. Lead preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for motors, pumps, MCCs, substations, lighting systems, and control panels. Open, assign, and close work orders in the CMMS, allocating technicians and confirming job completion in accordance with site procedures Troubleshoot electrical faults independently and provide technical guidance to technicians during complex maintenance activities. Ensure proper execution of testing activities, including insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and functional testing of electrical equipment. Coordinate with operations, instrumentation, and mechanical teams to ensure smooth plant operation and minimal downtime. Enforce strict compliance with safety procedures, including LOTO, PTW systems, risk assessments, and toolbox talks. Monitor workmanship quality and ensure maintenance activities comply with OEM recommendations and site standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records, job reports, and material usage, and report recurring issues to the Electrical Engineer. Support installation, commissioning, and handover of new electrical equipment and system modifications. Assist in identifying spare parts requirements and support inventory control activities. Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to technicians to improve skills and performance. Qualifications Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems and safety standards, with the ability to read, interpret, and supervise work based on electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics. Proven leadership and hands-on troubleshooting experience in motors, pumps, MCC panels, substations, lighting systems, and control panels, including planning and supervising technicians’ daily activities. Thorough understanding and strict enforcement of safety practices, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Permit-to-Work (PTW), risk assessments, and PPE compliance, while coordinating effectively with operations and other engineering disciplines. Physically fit to work in outdoor environments, confined spaces, and shift-based operations as required. ITI Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 5–8 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably within Sewage Treatment Plants.
