Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead and supervise electrical teams across BGIS-managed sites. Reporting directly to the Internal Delivery Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of electrical services, driving a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring and developing teams. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day operation, supervision, direction, and support to electricians and apprentices Oversee installation, servicing, maintenance, and replacement of electrical systems Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010 Lead fault-finding, diagnostics, and complex technical problem-solving Promote and maintain a Zero Harm safety culture Act as the primary on-site electrical representative for clients Education, Experience & Skills Essential: National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 4) or equivalent Current EWRB registration and practising licence Proven experience in a senior electrician, leading hand, or foreman role Strong understanding of NZ electrical standards and regulations Full NZ Driver’s Licence Desirable: Experience across commercial and residential electrical systems Leadership and mentoring experience Familiarity with compliance reporting and asset management systems Workplace Flexibility This position will be based on-site in Dunedin.
