Description
Overview Technical Associates is full-service engineering firm that provides Electrical Installation to industrial customers located nationwide. Our Electrical Install team provides Industrial Electrical and IT Infrastructure project related installations. We are currently seeking a Working Electrical Foreman with an Industrial Electrical Construction/Installation background to work with our clients, primarily in the heavy industrial environment. Travel is estimated to be a minimum of 75%. Responsibilities Will oversee the internal and external sub-contract field personnel responsible for the installation, additions, and/or repairs of electrical and or IT related systems. Act as a liaison between sub-contractors, engineers, and project superintendents. Manage man hours for projects and ensure timeline is met. Conduct regular safety meeting and identify, report and repair unsafe working conditions. Qualifications 5-10 years’ experience as an Electrical Foreman Must have industrial experience to include: Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installation practices. In-depth understanding of industry standards, including NEC and state electrical codes. New Installations of Power and Communication Wiring. Must be able to understand control drawings and electrical schematics. Trained and mentored junior electricians, fostering skill development and promoting best practices. Full working knowledge and compliance of OSHA standards Ability to resolve conflicts and meet the project demands and schedules. Bilingual is a plus Essential Functions Must have excellent communication skills. Must have adequate computer skills to support necessary project reporting requirements. Must be able to safely operate a variety of hand tools and power equipment Walking/Standing/Climbing/Bending in an industrial plant. Must be able to work alongside of the field installers in all aspect of the installation process, this is a Working Foreman position. Flexibility to work normal and off-shift work hours as required by the project schedule. Must be capable of walking the distance from parking lot to designated job area in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of day for required meetings and other required duties. Must be able to provide daily/weekly reporting to remote project superintendents.
