Job Description Role: Electrical Hardware Design Engineer Location: Irvine, CA | Palo Alto, CA Job Type: Contract Interview: Phone/Skype Job Description: About the Job You're Considering We’re seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our innovative team focused on building Electronics Control Unit (ECU) for Electric Vehicles. This is a high-impact role where you’ll contribute to the design, development, validation and optimization of mission-critical systems used by global enterprises. Key Responsibilities: Provide ongoing support for deployed hardware systems, ensuring reliability and performance. Identify opportunities for design enhancements and implement changes to improve efficiency, scalability, and manufacturability. Lead investigations into hardware failures, applying analytical techniques to identify and resolve root causes. Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and compliance with industry standards. Work closely with software, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and product success. What are the Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies required for this position? Your Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or a related field, with 7 years of experience in hardware design and development, ideally in Automotive. Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design principles. Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium, Cadence, or OrCAD. Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management. Hands-on experience with networking and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe, MIPI, GMSL). Hands-on experiences with High speed design validation and circuit debugging Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences through both written and verbal channels Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
Responsibilities
