About the role Techno is seeking an Electrical Inspector to provide construction management and inspection services for projects involving aeronautical lighting systems, 5kV electrical systems, substations and regulators, high-tension work, fiber optic communication infrastructure, fire alarm systems, and other electrical-related construction activities. What you'll do Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Read and interpret plans and specifications accurately. Prepare daily narratives (work reports), controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and documentation of unit price work. Identify potential extra work issues and keep the Resident Engineer informed. Prepare estimates, sketches, and supporting documentation for extra work. Review plans for constructability and provide timely comments. Review contractor payment requests and advise the Resident Engineer on their reasonableness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10-years’ experience inspecting electrical construction work, varied in size (projects ranging from $500K to $5 million plus) and complexity (multiple crew sizes per shift). Valid Driver's License required. Ability to obtain a high SWAC clearance or SIDA at Airports or TWIC at Ports. Night and weekend shifts are required. Trained in LOTO, fall protection, trench excavation, confined space and permit required confined space OSHA regulations and 30-hr OSHA construction safety training. The following Electrical Licenses/Certifications: NJ DCA Electrical Inspector License, NICET Certifications - Electrical Power Tests and Fire Alarm Systems Level III or higher. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
