About the role Techno is seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to support a major transportation infrastructure project in New York City. This role focuses on electrical systems within tunnel and station environments, ensuring installations meet design intent, safety standards, and all applicable codes. Candidates with design-build experience and familiarity with the unique conditions of active transit settings will be strong fits for this position. What you'll do Perform inspections of electrical installations including power distribution, lighting, conduit, grounding, communication interfaces, and related systems in tunnel and station environments Verify contractor work against drawings, specifications, and project requirements Review electrical submittals, shop drawings, test results, and installation sequences Witness and document system testing, energization, and commissioning activities Identify deficiencies, track corrective measures, and communicate field conditions to project leadership Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other inspectors to maintain progress and uphold project standards Prepare daily reports, maintain inspection logs, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate Qualifications 5–10 years of experience inspecting electrical systems on large infrastructure or transportation projects Experience working in tunnels or similarly complex environments Strong background in design-build projects and electrical field oversight Solid understanding of NEC, NYC Electrical Code, and relevant industry standards Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills Previous experience on major NYC transit projects is a plus OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain) Join us as we redefine excellence in engineering and construction management, shaping tomorrow's infrastructure landscape with innovation and precision. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
