Position: Electrical Instructor
Job Type: Full Time, permanent, Contact
Salary: $80-$100/ hour (depending upon experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8-hour shift.
Location: Ace Community College, Surrey, BC

Job Description:
As an Electrical Instructor, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive instruction to electrical foundations students. You will play a vital role in imparting your knowledge, expertise, and industry insights to prepare our students for successful careers in the field of electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging lesson plans and teaching materials.
  • Instructs curriculum using only pre-authorized or Ace Community college’s materials
  • Contribute to maintaining the curriculum for the betterment of the program
  • Conduct practical demonstrations and hands-on training.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and deliver a curriculum that covers electrical foundations.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and adapt the curriculum accordingly.
  • Assures that classrooms and labs are left in a clean and orderly fashion at end of class
  • Participates in grad function

Responsibilities and duties may be modified, added, removed, or altered as deemed necessary by the management, either through formal written communication or informal verbal communication.
Qualifications:
A construction Electrician or Industrial Electrician BC Certificate of Qualification (TQ) preferably with Red Seal Endorsement Plus a minimum of 5 years experience working in industry as a journeyperson

Additional requirements:

  • Able to make regular commute to V3V or have plans to relocate.
