Description
Reporting to the Electrical Principal, you will provide Asset Management solutions to improve asset up-time and at the same time reduce maintenance costs at Hidden Valley Mine in Papua New Guinea. To ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and contractors by compliance with the company's Health and Safety systems, policies and procedures. Ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective asset uptime through the implementation of best-practice maintenance and reliability strategies, while ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Deliver operations within approved budgets and lifecycle cost targets,and build sustainable national capability by developing and mentoring the local workforce to meet current and future operational demands. This role will be offered as an expatriate FIFO opportunity from/to Australia working on a 16/12-day roster. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD with first production targeted for the second half of the 2028 calendar year. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Provide asset management solutions to improve uptime and reduce maintenance costs at the Hidden Valley Mine. Ensure safety compliance and develop the local workforce to meet operational demands.
