QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety by speaking up and stopping work if unsafe conditions are identified, and recognizes and promotes safe behaviors among colleagues;

    • Related, relevant experience as an Instrumentation, Electrical or Controls technician in the oil and gas industry or other transferrable industry is preferred;
    • Accredited training with an (AAS) degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology preferred;
    • Electrical journeyman’s license is preferred or, the knowledge and skills to be considered electrically qualified according to NFPA 70e;
    • A strong proficiency with computers, including MS Office applications;
    • A proactive approach to continuous learning and development, seeking out opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge to stay current in the field;
    • Works effectively to troubleshoot both Instrumentation and Electrical related problems effectively;
    • Works collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals and success for Pembina;
    • Takes ownership for results and outcomes and treats mistakes as learning opportunities; and
    • Has a valid driver’s license.
    Responsibilities

      • Responsible for maintaining PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, valve operators, instrumentation, meters, flow computers, protection relays, VFDs, low and medium voltage electrical equipment, UPS; systems including conducting scheduled periodic inspections maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operations;
      • Perform and assist with installation, commissioning, startup and operation of new equipment including small projects;
      • Participating in a one week Call Out rotation for responding to after hours equipment failures and/or operational issues;
      • Ensure gas quality is maintained and meets specification by maintaining the accuracy of plant and pipeline analytical and measurement equipment;
      • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all OT network (Operation Technology);
      • Develop, update, train and document changes to equipment maintenance procedures;
      • Provide leadership/mentorship to less senior technicians;
      • Daily utilization of maintenance management system (SAP/BlueWorx) to identify, record and preserve preventative and corrective maintenance records for company assets;
      • Compliance with all (PSM) regulations and additional responsibilities may include (DOT) covered functions, maintenance, or emergency response on the pipeline;
      • Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment; and
      • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
