ABOUT THE ROLE:
MPK is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to support the Well Equipment Solutions (WES) team on a 15:13 roster. Reporting to the Superintendents, the E&I Technician is accountable for the delivery of a range of technical works encompassing the maintenance, construction, inspection and operation of equipment dry hired to external clients. The majority of equipment operated by WES is related to workover and drilling operations, such as underbalanced workovers, emissions reduction, and fluid recycling. The equipment ranges from quite basic processes to systems with higher level control systems for more complex processes.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Electrical installation on equipment
Installation, mounting, design, wiring, testing of instrumentation equipment
Operation, testing of equipment
Upgrades to equipment in field and in workshop
Break down repair
HAVD dossier record keeping as per Australian standards
HAVD auditing and inspecting as per Australian standards
HAVD dossier and program improvements
Scheduling field and in house work as required e.g. HAVD schedule, electrical/ instrumentation maintenance, electrical/ instrumentation scheduled repairs
Inventory, maintenance, servicing and tooling of electrical vehicle
Design verification with engineers on new and existing projects
General electrical repair work in the workshop e.g. lighting, power socket repairs
Power tool electrical test and tagging, scheduling and record keeping
Advising rig personnel about fault finding and troubleshooting through phone or email discussions
Creating flow charts and helpful note books for other staff for troubleshooting/ fault finding electrical equipment
Supervising / managing sub-contractors on site and in the workshop
