Description

The successful candidate will report to a Calibration Engineer and will be responsible for performing commissioning calibrations & Loop checking on newly installed instrumentation at new green field Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility in Dublin. This role would suit someone with the ability to work with a team but is also a self-starter. You will need to have an excellent understanding and experience of electrical instrumentation. This role would suit someone who is comfortable with the Electrical part of their E&I Apprenticeship and requires exposure to the Instrumentation section.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship or B.Sc. Degree in instrument / electronic engineering or equivalent
  • Electrical Apprentices considered (must have completed phase 5)
  • 3+ years of combined education, training, and experience in calibration, Electrical & instrumentation commissioning (preferably in Pharmaceutical Industry)
  • Proven fault finding/trouble shooting skills
  • Knowledge and experience working in a GMP regulated facility.
  • Experience executing and documenting Calibration certificates
  • Ability to interpret loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID’s, I/O wiring and panel drawings
  • Computer literate - minimum 3 years’ experience
Responsibilities

This role will support the introduction of new equipment to a greenfield expansion project by acting as site SME for plant instrumentation and test equipment.
The primary function of this role is to support the engineering effort with the installation, commissioning, and validation activity.
You will be involved in the assessment of new equipment and the identification of calibration requirements,
You will assist with internal calibration execution base on P&ID drawings
Troubleshoot and repair site instrumentation and control and monitoring system issues

Ensure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with applicable cGMP procedures

  • Ensure that instrumentation and calibration documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with applicable cGMP procedures
  • Recommend and implement improvement ideas to enhance the instrumentation and metrology functions and other business processes.
