UGL are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Isolation Officer to manage electrical isolations and permit coordination for our operations. This role specifically involves working with low voltage (LV) and extra low voltage (ELV) systems for cathodic protection systems. The successful candidate must hold a WA Electrical License and demonstrate expertise in electrical isolation procedures, permit drafting, and field execution. About Role: · 2:2 roster · 12-hour days (per full shift worked) · Base Rate Key Responsibilities: Safely carry out electrical isolations in compliance with company procedures and industry standards. Draft, coordinate, and issue electrical permits to work, ensuring all approvals and procedures are adhered to. Conduct isolations in the field using proper lockout/tagout protocols, ensuring systems are de-energized and safely reinstated. Maintain accurate documentation of permits and isolation activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate effectively with various teams, including maintenance and project crews, to plan and execute isolations. Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe handling of low voltage (LV) and extra low voltage (ELV) systems for cathodic protection. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to isolations and permits in a timely and efficient manner. About you: Mandatory Requirements: WA Electrical License (must be provided at the time of application). Demonstrated knowledge of low voltage (LV) and extra low voltage (ELV) systems. Proven experience in drafting and managing permits to work. Hands-on experience with isolation procedures, including lockout/tagout techniques. Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations. Desirable Attributes: Background working with cathodic protection systems in industrial, mining, or infrastructure applications. Prior experience as an isolation officer, electrical officer, or permit coordinator in a high-compliance environment. Strong organizational and communication skills to manage permits and collaborate across teams. Proactive problem-solving abilities in a fieldwork environment. Reference: 265671 Operating various cranes to company and manufactures requirements; Ensuring the crane is operated within the manufactures limits; Maintain crane on a daily basis by inspecting for defects or wear and lubricated as required; Operating the crane in a safe and responsible manner at all times; Check the condition of the ground (eg building site) before setting up the crane; Place the correct equipment under the outrigger pads of the crane (normally these are timber blocks, but they can be steel plates depending upon the condition of site); Check that the crane is level on the outriggers before attempting to lift and place a load; Be aware as to how much material can be safely hoisted in each load according to the crane's capacity and the weather conditions eg high winds; The successful candidate will require: Crane Operators Ticket (National or State ticket) Minimum of 1 year experience on a maintenance site Heavy vehicle licence for mobile cranes and Hydraulic Cranes and Heavy vehicle licence for Crawlers preferred but not essential Able to perform duties, maintaining high standards in both Safety and Quality.
