JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Journeyperson/Foremen to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and industrial electrical work, with expertise in programmable logic controllers and low to high voltage systems. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment. This Position will oversee projects on construction sites, ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician is essential.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices relevant to construction sites.
• Experience in renovation projects is a plus; maintenance person experience is also beneficial.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical installations.

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage wiring.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers for automation tasks and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute electrical installations accurately.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with NEC standards.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various construction environments.
• Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Provide guidance and training to junior electricians and apprentices as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
