Description
  • Residential Role with full relocation provided and company subsidised housing: live in the beautiful coastal town of Weipa, Far North Queensland
  • Embrace the adventure of a lifetime in Weipa, where your days off are filled with world-class fishing, boating, and breathtaking sunsets over pristine waters—an outdoor lifestyle like no other
  • Lifestyle rosters provide the perfect balance, giving you more time for the things that are important in your life and to your family and community
Responsibilities

We have opportunities for Electrical Maintainers to carry out routine maintenance, attend breakdowns and carry out improvement works on the Northern and Southern Operations Fixed Plant Assets, including associated infrastructure while actively working to identify opportunities for improvement.
We have options to suit your lifestyle and goals, at East Weipa or Andoom (Northern Operations) you’ll be home after each shift and for roles based at Amrun (Southern Operations) you will stay at our newly built camp during shift and commute back to Weipa on days off, with an additional allowance to compensate time away from home.
This is a fantastic opportunity for people with a strong work ethic, commitment to learning and a ‘can do’ attitude who are looking to live an incredible lifestyle with adventure and world-class water activities on your doorstep. With a supportive leadership team and a development plan in place, we’ll help you achieve success and progress your career.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor for your team and working a 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, dayshift lifestyle roster, your role may involve:

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on high and low voltage electrical infrastructure and equipment across the Andoom, Weipa and Amrun sites
  • Carrying out statutory electrical checks on a variety of site and town based low voltage electrical infrastructure, including cathodic protection systems, airfield lighting, switchboards equipment and town distribution networks
  • Fault finding and maintaining electrical equipment during breakdown situations
  • Demonstrating a commitment to high standards of safety and eliminating critical risks.
