JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical and Control Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Instrumentation/PLCs/SCADA/DCS/MES manufacturers and their architectures.
  • Knowledge of Safety systems and their architectures.
  • Knowledge of IEC-61511 (and related) standards and their practical application.
  • Knowledge of Industry standards (e.g. ATEX, S88, S95, Alarm Management).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for the ECI systems within ATEX and the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

You will be responsible for ensuring that all preventative and reactive maintenance work of plant and equipment is carried out effectively. You will ensure work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner in line with recognised codes and practices as well as adhere to our engineering standards. You will also deliver small Capex projects too.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the activities of Control and Information engineering support, contractors, operations, continuous improvement and equipment specialists.
  • Plan & carry out preventative/reactive maintenance on plant & equipment.
  • Ensures PUWER Compliance of all ECI Assets on the Stowmarket Site.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities to improve performance & ensure the continuous improvement of plant & equipment.
  • Undertake routine inspections & complete repairs rectifying issues before they become a break down.
  • Ensure the site’s compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support projects & plant & equipment upgrades.
  • Liaise with site engineers for in depth troubleshooting and support with legislative standards.
  • Update & maintain records.
  • Provide guidance & coaching to junior engineering colleagues.
