JOB OVERVIEW

Due to recent major projects and investments, including the £50 million installation of the worlds leading electric arc furnace (EAF), as well as internal promotions in the Engineering department Marcegaglia Stainless Sheffield is recruiting for multiple Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join our ever expanding and experienced Engineering department
This is a shift based role on rotational 4 on 4 off shift pattern (continental), working Days (06:00-18:00) and Nights (18:00-06:00).

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Accountability for all electrical work (planned / breakdown) occurring on the plant.
• Providing first line maintenance/breakdown support
• Managing electrical engineering activities on shift to comply with all internal and external health, safety and environmental requirements
• Assisting with the planning of shift activities where particular expertise is required.
• Carrying out and supporting continuous improvement activities when necessary.
• Providing relevant information and reports of plant breakdowns to assist in the completion of Single Event Analysis (SEA) and acting as a member of the team assisting in the implementation of actions to prevent re-occurrences where applicable.
• Generating accurate Engineering reports
• Leading, coaching and developing other employees, including apprentices

The ideal person will be:

• Driven to work in a demanding and challenging environment.
• Have proven electrical experience in industrial environments.
• Able to demonstrate a good level of electrical knowledge and practical skills.
• Able to lead, coach and develop other employees.
• A good communicator, both verbal & written.
• Able to demonstrate good planning skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the health and safety and environmental requirements
