Description Position Summary: Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, machinery and infrastructure as assigned by the Facilities Manager. Key Job Responsibilities: Effectively troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to identify issues and take necessary corrective actions. Ability to wire transformers, equipment, and devices following the NEC Inspect machinery, lubricate and make adjustments or repairs as needed. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment and ensure good operating condition while optimizing equipment up time and ensuring the safe and timely manufacturing of products. Document preventative maintenance and repairs in equipment maintenance logs as per maintenance department requirements. Perform facility maintenance as needed. Participate in the installation of new equipment and physical structures as needed. Operate shop equipment and tools as skill level will permit. Ability to work overtime on nights and weekends as needed for the efficient operation of equipment of the facility or when emergencies arise. Support site housekeeping, safety programs or other related tasks and duties as assigned. Obtain forklift, lift truck and scissor lift certifications within 90 days of employment. Follow proper safety rules and regulations throughout the facility using OSHA best practices. 10-15% travel required. On-call required on a rotating basis Requirements Education, Skills and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Certified Electrical training a must Technical school certificate in mechanical, or hydraulics a plus. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience with plastic or silicone processing equipment. Experience with building automation system (BAS) Ability to work in a fast paced, flexible environment. Self-motivated, does not need constant supervision. Ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively with management as well as other team members. Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams Knowledge and understanding of three phase and single phase power systems, electrical wiring and control circuitry. Ability to work on 240/120&480/277 3phase and single phase voltages Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
