JOB OPPORTUNITY: ELECTRICAL PLANNED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (12-MONTH FTC)

Location: Bristol – Avonmouth Area
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed-Term (12 months)
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Friday 7:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical PM Engineer to support the reliability and maintenance activities across a fast-paced industrial site. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideal for someone with strong experience in electrical maintenance planning, shutdown coordination, and team supervision in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planned maintenance (PM) activities for electrical systems in Factory 1.
  • Work closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer to plan and execute safe, effective shutdowns.
  • Supervise contractors and internal maintenance staff to ensure safe and timely completion of works.
  • Conduct CBM and OTR investigations and plan corrective actions accordingly.
  • Ensure PM tasks are completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with site expectations.
  • Contribute to site health & safety standards and compliance with company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Background in Electrical Engineering with experience in PM and shutdowns.
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems – Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred.
  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in an engineering environment.
  • Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable in manufacturing or industrial environments, ideally FMCG.
  • HNC minimum; HND or Degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Good communication skills and experience working with multi-functional teams.
