We create top quality lightweight aluminum components for luxury vehicles. Job Summary: The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery & will be responsible for maintenance activities In both Phase1 & Phase 2 in all departments forging, casting, finishing, and machining operations. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs daily line walks in Forging, Casting & Finishing departments. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant equipment involving checking voltages, changing out bad components, switching out gauges, as well as making camera and software adjustments. Program PLCs and diagnose machine faults/failures related to CNC, Servo, AC Motion Controls, related electronic components. Performs preventive & predictive maintenance inspections and service on machines. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. (why why analysis) Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. Prepares reports documenting work performed in CMMS system Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Identifying faults or hazards. Troubleshooting system failures. Reviewing blueprints to understand wiring placement. Testing of electrical systems with megger, voltmeters, and ohmmeters. Responding to fault requests. Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of electrical & electronics with great problem-solving skills. Understanding of schematics and program reading Knowledgeable in a variety of machine software, PLC, HMI & Automation. Skill & Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems. Skill & Knowledge on material handling systems, conveyors, cranes Ability & skill to work & handle gases like Natural Gas, Chlorine, Argon, Nitrogen & Oxygen. Ability to follow step-by-step procedures. Works well independently and with others. Good communication skills. Organized with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: Associate’s Degree in Electronics curriculum preferred 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting electronic controls in a manufacturing setting Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
