THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Western Port Manufacturing facility is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician in our Maintenance team based at Western Port, Hastings. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we have four major manufacturing sites at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.
In this critical role, you will be able to use your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes by applying your skill and knowledge. Your contributions will ensure that the equipment on our production line experiences maximum up-time and reliability.

Working in a supportive environment, you will contribute to the safety of our people, the quality of our product and the reliability of our equipment. You will achieve this by:

• undertake day-to-day activities - utilising trade skills to; carry out maintenance activities, conduct root cause investigations/ troubleshooting problems, documenting the root cause of issues, and recommending robust solutions.
• monitoring, analyse, reporting, improve processes and documenting work into our Maintenance Management System on the process line equipment condition.
• working within the maintenance team - contribute to planning and continuous improvement initiatives, to assist with plant reliability performance.

This role will require shift work coverage periodically by the Maintenance department to support the 24x7 operational units.
