REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience post-apprenticeship.
  • Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent electrical qualification.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly with control systems.
  • Previous experience in industrial control systems is an advantage but not essential.
  • A methodical and flexible team player with a willingness to learn.
  • Clean driving license (a company vehicle will be provided).
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and occasional overtime as required.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting gas and diesel generator plants, gas-handling systems, and other associated equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electronic components of the generating and gas handling plants.
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Calibrate instrumentation and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maximize plant uptime by performing on-line machine adjustments and supporting operational needs.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and liaise effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment as required.
  • Participate in training programs, supporting both personal development and the development of others within the team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that tools and parts are stored appropriately.
  • Adhere to all ETCI guidelines and health & safety standards.
